Then we will do a deep dive into upgrading to Plex 7.2.1 and considerations around migrating C++ to C#/Java – including components, database access, and performance. CA 2EÂ Recent Features Training (Track 2)
Do you want to move from a traditional DDS database to an SQL-type database, and still continue using your existing application? Do you want to use meaningful names on your SQL/DDL databases instead of implementation names? Do you want to be able to generate SQL/DDL type objects into any library of your choice? These are now possible with the latest release of CA 2E – r8.7. We will walk you through the important features of CA 2E 8.7 and also have a hands-on session to try out these new features. Bring your laptop with 5250 emulator installed.

This hands on workshop will allow you to develop modern web/Mobile UXs from a CA Plex application using CM WebClient. You will be able to visualize your CA Plex application and its data in a whole new way. We will preview some of CM WebClient’s new business intelligence functionality in this session. In addition, we will be using Docker to provide a training environment – if you are curious about this hot new deployment technology, this might be the session for you. In this hands-on session we will cover more advanced 2E topics. The main focus is how to enhance your 2E model to take advantage of Templates, but we will also cover other items like building a permanent notepad, building spreadsheets, chats, and visualizing your database schema in Visio. Bring your laptop with 5250 emulator, and your toughest questions and problems for the CA 2E experts.
